Terms and Conditions: Costume Dress Design Competition
Eligibility: The Costume Dress Design Competition is open to individuals aged 10 years or older. Employees of Rising Star Designs and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.
Entry Submission: To enter the Competition, participants must submit their costume design by email to keith@risingstardesigns.co.uk. Each participant may submit only one entry. All entries must be original designs created by the participant and must not infringe on any copyrights or intellectual property rights. All entries must use the design template which you can download here:
Submission Deadline: The deadline for submitting entries is March 22nd at 5pm GMT. Entries received after this deadline will not be considered.
Selection of Finalists: Keith will review all entries and select the top five designs based on creativity, originality, and adherence to the guidelines. The decision of Rising Star Designs is final and binding.
Public Voting: The five finalists' designs will be featured on Rising Star Designs' official Instagram account (@risingstardesigns). The public will be invited to vote for their favourite design by liking the corresponding post during the voting period, which will take place from March 24th to March 31st. Only one vote per Instagram account will be counted.
Winner Selection: The design with the highest number of likes at the end of the voting period will be declared the winner. The participant who submitted the winning design will receive a custom-made dress of their design, created by Rising Star Designs. The design with the second-highest number of likes will be awarded the runner-up prize of a 50% Voucher to be used before the end of 2024.
Prizes: The winner will receive a custom-made dress of their design. Additional costs like shipping and crystals will be charged to the winner. Full costs of these will be sent when notifying the winner. The runner-up will receive a 50% voucher towards a custom costume from Rising Star Designs. The remaining 3 finalists will receive a 25% Voucher to be used before the end of 2024. All Vouchers are non-transferrable.
Notification of Winners: The winners will be notified via email or direct message on Instagram within 10 days of the end of the voting period. If a winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within 10 days, Rising Star Designs reserves the right to select an alternate winner.
Publication of Designs: By entering the Competition, participants grant Rising Star Designs the right to publish their design on the Rising Star Designs website, social media channels, and any other promotional materials, with appropriate credit given to the designer.
General Conditions: Rising Star Designs reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with these terms and conditions or that is deemed inappropriate or offensive. Rising Star Designs also reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Competition if fraud or technical failures compromise the integrity of the Competition.
Release and Limitation of Liability: By participating in the Competition, participants agree to release and hold harmless Rising Star Designs and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any liability, claims, or damages arising out of or in connection with their participation in the Competition or the acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize.
Governing Law: The Competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.
